Huawei Recognized BY CDG For Network Technology Innovation
Huawei has won the 2010 3G CDMA Industry Achievement Award for Network Technology Innovation presented by the CDMA Development Group (CDG) at the second annual CDMA World Forum in Shanghai.
Huawei has introduced network capabilities that allow 3G CDMA operators flexible and cost-effective solutions for implementing advanced features and an easy evolution path to future network enhancements.
Including the world's first commercially-ready CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Revision B network, the world's first CDMA-LTE multi-mode trial for a U.S. carrier and a leading-edge SingleRAN solution for a smooth CDMA network and industry evolution to LTE, Huawei has consistently displayed pioneering CDMA network innovation. Continuing notable R&D since 1995, Huawei's sustained advancement of CDMA technology and support of the global ecosystem has spurred rising worldwide subscriber levels and new network launches, particularly during the past few years.
"The CDG congratulates Huawei on winning the 2010 3G CDMA Industry Achievement Award for Network Technology Innovation," said Perry LaForge, executive director of the CDMA Development Group (CDG). "Huawei has demonstrated its commitment to CDMA2000® through impressive research and development over the years, and its most recent accomplishments with EV-DO Rev. B and LTE continue that tradition of excellence and innovation."
Using Huawei' s SingleRAN@Broad solution, COX Communications in North America successfully deployed the world' s first CDMA LTE multi-mode trial in order to manage unprecedented mobile broadband traffic and lower the cost-per-bit, thus enhancing user experience. The successful rollout and operation of the CDMA LTE multi-mode trial provides assurance of CDMA' s viability and future evolutions to LTE.
