February 3, 2010 | LG Electronics a specialist in mobile communications, announced today that it has received approval from the Telecom Engineering Centre (TELEC) for its LD100 LTE data modem to be used in Japan.
The company said that the certification provides assurance that products have passed a series of tests for consistency with Japanese Radio Law technical regulations. TELEC is designated as a certification authority by the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
The TELEC certification follows the approval of the modem last year from the United States' Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
