Nokia and SK Telecom have reached a throughput speed of 3.78 Gbps by aggregating 10 spectrum frequencies allocated for both LTE variants for a 200 MHz of bandwidth. Earlier Nokia has demonstrated 2.6 Gbps TD-LTE throughput in February 2014 with US operator Sprint.

The throughput was achieved with Nokia’s Nokia’s Single RAN solution including the Flexi Multiradio 10 Base Station, enhanced with software to aggregate carriers on both TDD and FDD LTE spectrum and to implement LTE-Advanced Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technology.

Nokia had earlier demonstrated TDD-FDD carrier aggregation with two Korean operators, Korea Telecom (KT) and SK Telecom, in February 2014.
