Japanese carrier NTT DOCOMO will launch an outbound LTE roaming service for subscribers traveling in eight countries and regions, including USA and Hong Kong and France, beginning March 31.

Operator will enable roaming services in North America, Europe and South America beginning March 31 in partnership with AT&T in USA (mainland), Rogers in Canada,  Bouygues Telecom in France and AT&T in Puerto Rico & USA Virgin Islands. In Asia, operator will enable roaming in Hong Kong via Hutchison on March 31 where as in Malaysia via Maixis in April.

Operator will apply existing flat-rate data roaming plans to the service, allowing DOCOMO users to have roaming with LTE mobile networks overseas.  Going forward, DOCOMO plans to continue to expand its global LTE roaming coverage, teaming up with additional overseas partners.
