Orange Launches LTE Service in Slovakia

Orange Slovakia has launched LTE network in country. Operator's LTE service is currently available in Bratislava, Kosice and Banska Bystrica. Orange plans to cover 30 percent of the Slovak population with LTE by the end of year.
Operator' LTE service is available at a frequency of 2600 MHz with maximum theoretical data speed of 150 Mbps and at a frequency of 800MHz with maximum theoretical speed of 70 Mbps in downlink.
Earlier this year, Orange Slovakia had chosen Alcatel-Lucent as the main supplier for 4G LTE mobile network buildup following the 800MHz/2600MHz frequency auction in the country.
