Today Verizon Wireless announced that it has launched XLTE in 22 new markets, bringing double the 4G LTE bandwidth and greater peak speeds now in more than 400 markets in USA. That means that 4 out of 5 Verizon Wireless 4G LTE markets now have Verizon Wireless XLTE.

According to operator, 30+ LTE devices are XLTE-ready and operate on the Advanced Wireless Services (AWS) spectrum as well as 700 MHz spectrum.

Verizon wireless has reported $9.4B as it 2013 capital investment to expand and maintain its nationwide network including LTE and XLTE build out.
