The telecommunications service provider Zain Bahrain has launched commercial LTE network in the country. Operator has started 4G services in collaboration with Ericsson.

Last year, Zain Bahrain had announced that it will be investing USD 100 million in the development of its state-of-the art network. Operator plans to gradually roll out LTE network across the Kingdom in order to ensure the highest quality of service at each stage of deployment.

“Offering customers superior technologies and services in our mobile operations across the region is core to Zain. This momentous accomplishment by the Zain Bahrain team is another highlight in the company’s long list of technology achievements as it joins our operations in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia in offering 4G LTE,” said Scott Gegenheimer, Zain Group CEO.
