Spanish operator Telefonica plans to roll out a nationwide LTE network in Spain and has selected Ericsson as a technology partner for this network. Ericsson  is selected as vendor for the cities of Madrid and Barcelona, among others.

Thailand's mobile operator Real Future, a subsidiary of True Corporation, has selected Ericsson to expand its mobile broadband network in Thailand. This expansion will allow the True Mobile Group to offer their 21.5 million subscribers with improved mobile broadband

Ericsson has announced that Australia's Telstra has used the LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) Carrier Aggregation technology on 1800MHz and 900MHz spectrum bands on a commercial network.

Russia's mobile operator Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) has selected Ericsson to deploy the LTE network in four regions covering more than half of Russia. Under the three-year agreement and starting in Q2, 2013, Ericsson will roll out LTE in the Siberian, Ural, Volga, and Southern Federal Districts of Russia.

Ericsson has announced that it has been selected to manage operations and maintenance of the MBNL radio access network encompassing the Three UK and EE networks. Mobile Broadband Network Limited (MBNL) is the joint venture company owned by Three UK and EE. 

Ericsson has announced that It is installing RBS 6000 multi-standard 2G/3G/4G radio base stations to enhance the user experience in terms of quality and capacity for Orange subscribers along with LTE deployment program.

Chile's mobile service provider Entel has extended its partnership with Ericsson to supply its 2G, 3G and end-to-end IP network for 4G/LTE. The agreement will allow 3G and 4G users to receive superior mobile broadband experience and high-performing networks, as well as advanced solutions and services.

Kuwait's mobile operator Wataniya Telecom has signed an agreement with Ericsson to transform its network with an upgraded radio access network. This will allow higher network speeds and meet the growing demand for 3G services.

U.S. carrier MetroPCS has selected Ericsson as the supplier of equipment and services to transform its distributed nationwide Evolved Packet Core network. The transformation will enhance key services including high-speed data, voice over LTE (VoLTE) and Rich Communication Services for MetroPCS customers across the United States.

Ericsson and China Mobile has successfully demonstrated a dual mode HD voice over LTE (VoLTE) call between TD-LTE and LTE FDD based on ST-Ericsson's multimode modem and Renesas Mobile' quad-mode chipsets during the 2013 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.
