UK operator EE has turned on LTE network in 12 additional towns across the country. With this launch, EE's 4G LTE services are now available in 74 towns and cities across the UK.

Operator's 4GEE service has been switched on in Ashton-under-Lyne, Chatham, Gillingham, High Wycombe, Merthyr Tydfil, Oldham, Oxford, Rochester, Runcorn, Sale, Stafford and Wigan. 4G from EE now covers more than 50% of the UK population.

According to company, Its 4G service is on track to cover more than 70% of the population by the end of 2013 and 98% by the end of 2014.
