Ericsson showcased its complete end-to-end TD-LTE solution for the first time today, together with ST-Ericsson devices at a China Mobile event in Shanghai, China. Demonstarion included super-fast mobile broadband applications such as video on demand (VOD) and video streaming using a live camera. 

 Ericsson's TD-LTE solution has already achieved a single user peak rate of 110Mbps in the downlink. The demonstration today was performed with a USB dongle with a TD-LTE chipset from ST-Ericsson.

We will make every effort to support China Mobile in bringing revolutionary mobile broadband experiences to tens of millions of Chinese consumers in the near future," said Mats H Olsson, President of Ericsson China & North East Asia.

Ericsson has introduced a multi-standard base station RBS 6000 as part of its TD-LTE offering. With this demonstration Ericsson has announced its TD-LTE readiness of complete TD-LTE solution. Widespread global deployment of TD-LTE is expected in the coming years.
