Lift the lid on most ‘LTE in the enterprise’ discussions and it quickly becomes evident that LTE’s corporate mobility ‘revolution’ is in full effect. And rightly so.

LTE 4G promises a higher end-user experience with faster data rates. But, the complexity of new smart devices and new network technology means that to achieve a seamless experience, extensive testing of the devices, network and services prior to market introduction is increasing in importance.  

Operators have large teams of field sales staff working with small, medium and large corporations selling the full complement of voice and data services.

Competition is fierce as operators look to sign up consumers to their new superfast 4G networks and make a return on their spectrum auction investment. A reason for this is that operators aren’t offering consumers anything beyond commodity services, such as 4G roaming bundles.

While LMR systems have effectively support mission-critical voice and low-bandwidth data applications for many years, they fail to provide the high-speed data performance necessary to support the multimedia applications on which today’s Public Safety agencies increasingly rely upon.
