Belgium's mobile operator BASE Company has launched 4G LTE network in country. BASE customers can now use 4G in 15 cities. According to operator, more cities will be added soon. BASE customers with an unlimited tariff plan as of B-39 are automatically offered 4G in their existing package.

Australia's Telstra, GSMA and GSA have launched a major promotion of the APT700 spectrum band for 4G networks. The band is already identified for use in markets covering more than two billion people. The new campaign will highlight further the many socio-economic benefits of greater global alignment around this band.

US carrier AT&T has now 4G LTE network live in 400 markets covering nearly 240 million people. AT&T today launched its LTE network in Alexander City, Ala.; Concord, N.H.; and Jamestown, N.Y.

Ecuador's mobile operator Corporacion Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (CNT) has selected Alcatel-Lucent to deploy 4G LTE network in Ecuador. CNT is deploying Alcatel-Lucent’s LTE solution to provide 4G connectivity to   cities of Guayaquil, Cuenca, Machala and Loja,

Nigeria’s National Internet Services Provider, Spectranet Limited has launched 4G LTE Internet Wireless Broadband Network in the country. Operator's LTE Wireless Broadband Network is initially available across Lagos. 

Alcatel-Lucent has signed a contract with Telefónica, to become a reference supplier for its 4G LTE network in Spain, company announced today. Under the agreement, Alcatel-Lucent will deploy some 8,000 4G LTE base stations and the 5620 Service Aware Manager (5620 SAM).

UK operators Vodafone and O2 have launched their commercial LTE services in country today. Vodafone's LTE network is currently available in London where as O2's LTE network is available in London, Leeds and Bradford. 

Switzerland based mobile operator Swisscom has announced that 60 per cent of the Swiss population already have access to operator's LTE network at some 300 locations across the country. According to Swisscom, around half a million its customers already use 4G LTE – second only to Sweden in Europe. 

AT&T has announced the launch of LTE network in 13 new markets across the US including Stockton, Topeka, Mt. Sterling, Zanesville, Coeur D'Alene, Medford-Ashland, Kirksville and Portsmouth. operator also has expanded in several existing markets.
