U.S. Carrier C Spire Wireless has launched LTE services in new markets in Mississippi. Cities that now have LTE coverage include Ecru, Kossuth, Corinth, Farmington, Ripley, Sherman and Booneville. C Spire Plans to Offer 4G LTE Services in 31 Mississippi Markets Through October. 

Bridgewater Systems has announced that Yota has selected the Bridgewater Service Controller (AAA) to support the rollout of its new national WiMAX service in Nicaragua. The  WiMAX network

African operator Movicel has signed a commercial contract for LTE FDD 1.8 GHz  network with Huawei. Movicel will deploy LTE FDD network in province Cabinda, Angola and will commercialize it by the end of May this year.

COTA, a Spanish telecom provider has completed the 4G mobile broadband pilot with TD-LTE technology in Murcia, Spain using Nokia Siemens Networks' solution, ahead of a November launch for commercial services.

Ericsson and Qualcomm have demonstrated Release 9 Circuit Switched Fall Back (CSFB) from LTE TDD (TD-LTE) to GSM, live, using a standard Ericsson radio base station RBS 6000 and an LTE multimode chipset from Qualcomm. With this achievement, both LTE FDD and LTE TDD modes, using un-paired spectrum, could also make use of the broad GSM coverage.

Nokia Solutions and Networks has launched a TD-LTE 8-pipe radio module for Band 41 spectrum. 3GPP Band 41 covers 194 MHz of LTE TDD spectrum in the 2496 MHz to 2690 MHz range. The new base station component supports up to 120 MHz of channel bandwidth and 160 Watts transmission power.
