Mobile broadband solutions provider, Tekelec has announced that its Policy Server (PCRF) has been deployed by KT (South Korea) for its LTE and 3G networks.  Tekelec’s Policy Server will support KT’s VoLTE offering, LTE data plans and Rich Communication Suite (RCS) service.

Brazil’s operator Oi Brasil has selected Nokia Solutions and Networks to supply the infrastructure for its LTE network. In addition to that, NSN will also upgrade the operator’s GSM and 3G networks across the country. 

Vodafone Germany has launched LTE services in the Heiligendamm,a German seaside resort.

South Korea's SK Telecom and Japan's Softbank have launched LTE roaming service in Japan and South Korea. LTE subscribers of SK Telecom and Softbank will be able to roam in Japan and Korea on the operators' LTE networks.

Telecom New Zealand will be conducting live customer trials of LTE technology later this year in preparation for the evolution of its XT network to 4G. Operator is currently conducting a technology selection process, with the aim to have the trial service operational with selected business and consumer customers before the end of 2012

Malaysia's integrated communications service provider Maxis has launched 4G LTE services on first day of year. Maxis LTE Network is now available in selected parts of the Klang Valley including Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Damansara Utama, Desa Sri Hartamas, Bandar Puchong Jaya, Bandar Sunway and Cyberjaya following its midnight launch on 1 January 2013.
