Telenor to use Alcatel-Lucent's Femto solution

54 percent of U.S. Cellular customers to have LTE coverage by end of 2012

With LTE launch already scheduled next month, U.S. Cellular announced the next markets today that will have 4G LTE services by year end. In the second half of 2012, more than 3,600 additional cities and towns in urban and rural areas will LTE access, said the operator.

Clearwire to launch TD-LTE network in June 2013

Clearwire plans to roll-out LTE next year. Operator intends to have its first wave of TD-LTE 5,000 cell sites up and running by June 2013, FierceWireless reported earlier. With TDD-LTE rollout, Clearwire expects to capitalize on its deep spectrum resources to deliver on 4G capacity needs over the long-term.
