DOCOMO to Launch VoLTE Service Next Month

Japanese mobile carrier NTT DOCOMO plans to launch high-quality voice and video calls using Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) technology on its LTE network, beginning late June.

Russia's telecommunications operator MTS has completed the Voice over LTE (VoLTE) call on a telco cloud infrastructure using Nokia’s technology. The end-to-end testing was successfully conducted in the operator’s live LTE network with user devices.

China Mobile has fully tested and certified Ericsson's M7450 5-mode modem chipset for use in China Mobile's network. Ericsson's M7450 covers five access technologies: TD-LTE, LTE FDD, WCDMA, TD-SCDMA and GSM. The LTE Advanced multimode modem targets smartphones, tablets and other connected devices.

Telecom NZ to Trial LTE in 700 MHz Band
