TeliaSonera has opened the 4G LTE network in Visby for its customers, with this launch Visby has become 3rd city with comercial LTE network after Stockholm and Oslo.

From 30th June, TeliaSonera is offering Samsung's modem that works with 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks. Modem is available for sales in Telia stores in central Stockholm and Visby. 

Earlier this week TeliaSonera opened LTE network in Malmo & Gothenburg, Sweden.

TeliaSonera is preparing for commercial launch of 4G/LTE in Gothenburg, Sweden’s second largest city soon.

TeliaSonera is ready to launch 4G LTE in Visby, Sweden on June 30 . It would become the third city in the world with commercial 4G network. 

Sonera is rolling out Finland’s first 4G network in Turku.

Nokia Siemens Networks has been picked by Finnish mobile operator Elisa to supply LTE network equipment for the first phase of its network.

At LTE World Summit, TeliaSonera indicated that they dont want be alone in LTE deployments and asked operators to do more, according to Light Reading article.

TeliaSonera had won a 4G license in Denmark lastweek and will launch 4G services to Danish customers during the spring 2011.
