ZTE has successfully completed phase-1 5G transport test in cooperation with Telefonica at its Future Networks Lab in Madrid, Spain. In this test, ZTE provided the new 5G Flexhaul solution, a transport solution integrating fronthaul, midhaul and backhaul features.

These antennas apply to full-band 4T4R and FDD/TDD convergent networking to support a 5G-oriented evolution. These new antennas will be commercially available by the second half of 2018.
5G Readiness is on the rise according to a recently released the 5G Readiness Survey 2017 from Ericsson. The report shows that many operators have accelerated preparations for the new technology and trials are being carried out by 78 percent of the respondents compared to 32 percent last year.
