Nokia Networks has recently been ranked a leader in China Mobile’s quality assessment of its commercial TD-LTE network, company announced today. The operator has developed a rigorous evaluation program of its vendor deployments in all the major cities and provinces across China.

U.S. carrier Sprint today reported operating results for the first fiscal quarter of 2014, including net income of $23 million and consolidated operating income of $519 million, the highest in more than seven years. Adjusted EBITDA of $1.83 billion grew 30 percent over the prior year period.

Singapore's mobile operator SingTel has announced a commercial 300Mbps 4G service with the launch of the Huawei E5786 mobile MiFi device. In addition to the Huawei E5786, other LTE-Advanced enabled devices, including smartphones and tablets, will be available from SingTel in the coming months.

Optus is turning on its first commercial 4G LTE 700MHz network in Darwin and Perth CBDs. The launch follows the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) granting Optus an early access commercial licence for 4G 700MHz spectrum.
