Rogers Announces LTE Roaming to Switzerland

Canada's Rogers Communications has signed a new agreement with Switzerland's Swisscom to deliver bilateral LTE roaming to customers of both mobile service providers. As of July 31st, Rogers and Swisscomm customers travelling with a 2600 MHz device can have LTE service while in Canada or Switzerland.

SK Telecom Expands LTE Roaming Services to Canada and Switzerland

South Korea's operator SK Telecom has launched LTE international roaming services in Canada and Switzerland under partnerships with Canada’s Rogers and Swiss Swisscom.  

AT&T Launches 13 New 4G LTE Markets

AT&T has announced the launch of LTE network in 13 new markets across the US including Stockton, Topeka, Mt. Sterling, Zanesville, Coeur D'Alene, Medford-Ashland, Kirksville and Portsmouth. operator also has expanded in several existing markets. 

Vodafone UK To Launch LTE Network on August 29

Vodafone UK is launching its 4G LTE network on 29 August. Operator has also announced that its 4G-ready plans will be available from 12 August. At the launch, Operators LTE network will be available in London. 

Airtel to Roll out LTE Network in Delhi by September

Indian operator Bharti Airtel is likely to launch LTE services in Delhi by September, reports PTI. Operator is already offering LTE services in some other Indian Markets including Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune and Chandigarh.

O2 to Launch LTE Network on 29th August

UK operator O2 has outlined plans for launch of its 4G LTE network. O2 will switch on LTE network in London, Leeds and Bradford on 29th August, reaching up to five million people from launch. 

NTT DOCOMO's LTE Subscribers Surpass 15 Million

NTT DOCOMO has announced that subscribers to its LTE mobile service surpassed 15 million on July 30. Operator's LTE subscriptions reached one million in December 2011, 10 million in February this year.

Ofcom Completes 800MHz Clearance Ahead of Schedule

UK regulator has announced that a four-year process to release 800MHz spectrum for 4G mobile broadband has been completed. This spectrum was previously used for broadcasting digital TV channels and by wireless audio devices.

Sprint Switches on LTE Network in 41 More Locations

Sprint's LTE service is now available in 151 markets including 41 new markets announced today. The new locations include Philadelphia; the Bronx and Brooklyn, N.Y.; Grand Rapids, Mich.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Nashville, Tenn.; Oakland, Calif.; and Portland, Ore. 

Vodafone New Zealand Launches LTE in Wellington

Vodafone New Zealand has launched 4G LTE services in parts of Wellington. Operator's LTE network is available already in parts of Auckland, Christchurch, Lake Brunner, Queenstown, Wanaka and Taupo.
