Canadian operator TELUS has launched its LTE wireless network in several communities over the course of the past couple of weeks. Operator opened LTE network in Manitoba for the first time with initial launch in downtown Winnipeg.
U.S. Carrier Sprint has announced first tri-band devices that will operate on Sprint’s 4G LTE network at 800MHz, 1.9GHz and 2.5GHz. Beginning July 19, Operator will introduce NETGEAR Zing Mobile Hotspot, the NETGEAR 341U USB Modem and Intelligent mobile hotspot MiFi® 500 LTE by Novatel Wireless.
AT&T and Leap Wireless have entered into an agreement for AT&T to acquire Leap in $1.2 billion. Leap's network covers approximately 96 million people in 35 U.S. states. Under the Cricket brand, Leap currently operates a 3G CDMA network, as well as a 4G LTE network covering 21 million people in these areas.
Australian operator Optus has launched LTE network in Wollongong. Optus has switched on LTE at five mobile sites in central Wollongong, kicking off a series of extensive network upgrades and expansions in the greater Illawarra area in the coming six months, which will also include upgrades to the Optus 3G network.
Vodafone Australia is now inviting new customers across metropolitan Australia onto its new LTE network. Earlier Operator has launched LTE services to existing customers on 12th June 2013 with coverage in selected major metro areas of Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Newcastle and Wollongong.
Alcatel-Lucent and Surfline Communications have announced the commercial deployment of a 4G LTE network in Ghana. Alcatel-Lucent is providing hardware and software, along with installation, optimization, maintenance and managed services for this network rollout.

UK operator EE will switch on double-speed 4G in twelve UK cities on the 4th July. According to operator, it will allow a theoretical maximum top speed of 150Mbps, and double the current average speeds to 24-30Mbps. Operator will also launch new Shared 4GEE Plans on 17th July

TeliaSonera’s subsidiary EMT has exapanded its LTE network in Estonia. It's LTE network now covers 95% of territory in country. EMT had launched LTE network in 2010.
U.S. carrier T-Mobile has signed an agreement to purchase 10 MHz of Advanced Wireless Services (AWS) spectrum from U.S. Cellular for $308 million in cash. This additional spectrum will allow for an incremental roll-out of T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network coverage to new markets
Verizon Wireless' 4G LTE network now covers 500 markets in 49 states and operator officially launches next month in Alaska. Parkersburg, W.Va., became the 500th market in the United States with LTE service from Verizon Wireless.
