I would like to know what is the difference between PS Handoveri over Gn/Gp and PS HO over S4 interface for the user. I know the architecture difference but I'm interessted about QoSi for User.
I know that S4 is better, but why? A friend said to me that in the S4, packets are not lost, but I don't understand this very well.
My company is considering organising a telecoms related evening for some of our clients in the UK. I would like to use LTEi/4G as our main theme and will invite 4 or 5 speakers to host the event with presentations on topics in the LTE domain. What topics do you think would work? The idea of the event is for people to learn about the up and coming technologies whilst networking.
I want to estimate the soft symbols from LLRs coming from Decoder using the tanh function. The question is how are the bits mapped to symbols let say for 16-QAMi:
In the specification it is written that the bits b(i),b(i+1),b(i+2),b(i+3) are mapped to the I and Q as for instance:
I'm new to LTEi so apologies up front for my severe lack of knowledge.
1. Bandwidth limits and typical amount used for a voice call
From what I have read thus far it seems that the handset could use anywhere from six to one-hundred resource blocks of 180kHz(~1.1 MHz to 20 MHz range). Is this true? It would be useful to understand how much would be used typical for a voice call?
I have been doing my final task to simulating inter-MMEi handover. i would ask some questions:
1. What kind of simulator could i use which i can simply applicate for handover?
2. Could here anybody help to explain me about the function or job of S1i interface when inter-MME handover or inter-eNodeBi handover?
Could anybody explain that how the cells(sectors) are mapped on RRCi. i mean who handles and maintains the eNodeb call & sector information and how the upper layers handle these things. I am aware of phy procedures but what happens on upper layers like RRC & others??
NeST (www.nestsoftware.com), Software division of SFO Technologies Ltd., Kochi, a premier provider of electronics software, hardware and manufacturing services has partnered with Mymo Wireless (www.mymowireless.com), a products and IP design house for 4G wireless standards, to develop integrated solutions in the telecom industry.
I am currently working on 3G FemtoCell. I know that LTEi doesn't support voice call as result when the voice call is made UEi would fall back to UMTS/CDMA network to handle the cs call.
When my UEi initially attaches to the network I see that the MMEi makes 2 separate DIAMETER Authentication Information Requests to the HSS and receives 2 different E-UTRANi vectors back in return.
Whether somebody can give the detailed answer to the following question: what for it is necessary to create network LTEi when already exists WiMAX? What for to invent a bicycle?
Was wondering if LTEi can support public safety? Let say if the base stations is affected, can the walkie-talkie/comm sets be able to communicate via DMO (direct mode operations) assuming in tunnel.
