Huawei and South Korea's mobile operator LG Uplus have jointly completed a commercial network field trail of 3 different band Carrier Aggregation (3CC CA). LG Uplus currently has 7.5 million LTE subscribers across three commercial LTE network bandwidths of 800 MHz, 2100 MHz and 2600 MHz.
4G Americas reports that LTE connections in North America grew to 115 million subscriptions, representing 30 percent of the 387 million total mobile subscriptions in the region at the end of the first quarter of 2014.
Syniverse has signed an agreement with NewCore Wireless for solutions that will facilitate the launch of a new LTE network to serve NewCore Wireless’ operator customers. Singapore's mobile operator SingTel has unveiled 4G ClearVoice, a commercial full-featured Voice over LTE (VoLTE) service, in collaboration with Samsung and Ericsson. Operator's VoLTE service offers full suite of telephony features such as call waiting and forwarding on the 4G network.
